IMG_0377

In celebration of summer and creativity here’s a poem inspired by my daughter’s pencil sketch (above).  Enjoy!

BIRDY

.

Tweet, tweet birdy,

What’s the wordy,

Is it really true?

Folks say you lay

Eggs every day

In every kind of hue.

.

What you’ve heardy

Ain’t absurdy.

What you’ve heard is true.

I lay ‘em purple,

Orange, green,

Pink, yellow, red, and blue.
