In celebration of summer and creativity here’s a poem inspired by my daughter’s pencil sketch (above).  Enjoy!

Laura Sassi

Tweet, tweet birdy,

What’s the wordy,

Is it really true?

Folks say you lay

Eggs every day

In every kind of hue.

What you’ve heardy

Ain’t absurdy.

What you’ve heard is true.

I lay ‘em purple,

Orange, green,

Pink, yellow, red, and blue.
