Hip hip, hooray!

It’s on its way!

GOODNIGHT, MANGER, the board book,

releases today!

With sturdy pages and a padded cover, the board book version of GOODNIGHT, MANGER is terrific for littlest readers who want to turn the pages themselves. With full text, it’s a good size– perfect for showing off all the wonderful details in Jane’s illustrations.

Interested in a signed copy?  Here’s how:  Call The Town Book Store in Westfield, NJ to order the book or books you want. Be sure to explain that you would like to have them signed by the author and pass along the names you’d like included. They will take the order and do the transaction. I will then come in and sign the book or books. Readers can either pick them up in-store at no extra charge, or have them mailed. There will be a shipping fee to cover the cost of mailing, but they can give you those details.

I thought this was a nice way to make signed copies available and support a wonderful independent book store.  Their number is: The Town Book Store (908) 233-3535.

It’s also available at your favorite local or online bookstore! Happy Reading, all!

SPECIAL VISIT: Goodnight, Ark Sails to Lakeside Chautauqua

IMG_0583This week Noah and the gang traveled to Lakeside Chautauqua in Lakeside, Ohio for a special GOODNIGHT, ARK event. Founded in the 1870’s and nestled along scenic Lake Erie, Lakeside Chautauqua is an historic community dedicated to nurturing the mind, body, and spirit.

Hosted by Bev and Joan, the lovely booksellers at the Fine Print Book Store, our special story time took place at the historic Green Gables. I hope the pictures below capture the fun we had. Thanks to all for a great time!

ALA Las Vegas 2014: GOODNIGHT, ARK Book Signing

photo 2I returned home from Las Vegas last night energized after a whirlwind trip to the ALA Annual Convention to do my first book signing at the Zonderkidz booth in Exhibit Hall at the convention center.

photo 1The Zonderkidz sales team did a terrific job getting the booth ready for the signing with 216 books neatly stacked on either side of the signing table.

photo 5They also did a smash up job spreading the word. Indeed, the line to get books signed began forming early – at 9:15 – and quickly stretched around the corner like a long snake!

photo 2I signed books nonstop until I ran out at just past 10:30.  I loved interacting with each and every book enthusiast who stopped by to get a signed copy.  My hand was tired by the time I signed copy no. 216, but it was worth it!

photo 3Thank you, Zonderkidz for flying me out and thank you, librarians, for your enthusiastic response to GOODNIGHT, ARK!
